Crime Prevention Bureau Presents Security Services Best Training Award

Co-organized by the Crime Prevention Bureau (CPB) and the Vocational Training Council (VTC), the ‘2020 Security Services Best Training Award’ (SSBTA) Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on 24th September 2021 at Police Headquarters. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. KWOK Yam-yung, Director of Operations, Mr. YIP Chun-nam, J.P., Chairman of VTC Security Services Training Board (SSTB), Ms. Jane Curzon LO, J.P., Chairlady of Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority (SGSIA), and Mr. TANG Wai-yin, Assistant Executive Director (Acting) of VTC, and attended by guests including the Regional Commanders of all six regions as well as representatives from the security industry.

The SSBTA is now in its eleventh year since 2010. A total of 90 awards were presented to various security companies this year, including 62 Gold Awards, 14 Silver Awards, six Bronze Awards and eight Merit Awards. The award panel comprising representatives from the Force, VTC and SGSIA assessed the commitments made by participating companies in training, the number of training hours provided in the past year, the number of staff trained, the range of training courses covered, and the level of management involvement and support for the training program.
