The "Hong Kong Island Best Security Services Award 2020 - 2021 Presentation Ceremony" organized by the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Hong Kong Island was held at Police Headquarters on 23 November 2021, with Regional Commander of Hong Kong Island KWOK Pak-chung officiating at the ceremony. District Commanders of various districts and representatives from the security services industry were also invited to attend the ceremony.
The Selection Panel, which comprised representatives from the Security and Guarding Services Industry Authority, the four District Fight Crime Committees of Hong Kong Island, Teens and Elderly Mission Committee and Crime Hong Kong Island Regional Headquarters, presented 200 property management units with the "Outstanding Security Services - Industrial/Commercial Property Award" and the "Outstanding Security Services - Residential Property Award". Two hundred security personnel were presented with the "Outstanding Security Personnel Award" or the “Best Security Personnel Award”, 10 of whom were even selected as the “Best Top Ten Security Personnel” and 3 were particularly selected as the “Excellent Security Personnel” to commend them for their assistance in subduing a female that resulted in the arrest of her, who was charged with the offences of murder and shooting with intent.
Regional Commander of Hong Kong Island KWOK Pak-chung commended in his speech all the awardees, representatives from a number of companies, organizations and institutions, which had actively supported and assisted the Police in spreading crime prevention messages, for their significant contribution to crime prevention and protection of their clients’ property through assisting the police in saving lives and taking arrest actions.
