Kowloon East Best Security Services Award Presentation Ceremony 2016-2017, organized by RCPO KE, was held on 2017-10-19. The Ceremony was officiated by Miss HO Yuen-ha Irene, RC KE, with Miss Jane LO, Chairman of SGSIA, DFCC Chairmen of Kwun Tong District, Wong Tai Sin District and Sai Kung District, DC KTDIST, DC SMPDIST, DC WTSDIST, DC TKODIST and DC RAILDIST invited as award presenting guests.
The Gold Best Security Guard Award this year was presented to Mr CHAN Wing-on and Miss LAM Wan-wan. On 2017-02-03, whilst on security duty at Royal Castle, Tseung Kwan O, they both spotted, via CCTV, two male burglars climbing over the estate’s boundary brick wall. Mr CHAN rushed over to the scene and tried to intercept offenders while Miss LAM swiftly called upon her colleagues for support and phoned police for assistance. Their professionalism and alertness led to the arrest of the two burglars who were later charged with “Attempted Burglary”.
This 2016-2017 year was the 12th time RCPO KE had held the Kowloon East Best Security Services Award Ceremony. Other than the Gold, Silver and Bronze Best Security Guard Awards, there were also a total of 390 Best Security Guard / Outstanding Security Guard / Best Partner / Outstanding Partner Awards which were presented during the ceremony.
