Anti-Drug Mascots
Mighty Cat
- Officially introduced by the Narcotics Bureau (“NB”) in 2022
- With his name echoing “咪制” in Chinese and his signature cross-armed “No Drugs” pose, Mighty Cat stands as a firm, engaging reminder: “Drugs? Never, ever!”
- Inspired by a domestic cat, he spreads anti-drug messages throughout the community with his friendly and relatable persona
- Origin story:
Shortly after the establishment of NB in 1954, lions were unfairly exploited as a brand logo for heroin tied to drug harm in Hong Kong. Hoping to destigmatise this image, a new figure from the feline family was born—Mighty Cat
Sneaky Rat “Bad Friend Forever”
- True to his name, he sneakily lures Mighty Cat into drug pitfalls!
- Acts as a cautionary figure to students and youths about how bad friends can bring “drug offers”!
No-No “Best Friend Forever”
- Reminds Mighty Cat to say “No-No! Not even one pill!” whenever drugs call to him!
