Crime Matters

Anti-Drug Mascots

Mighty Cat

  • Officially introduced by the Narcotics Bureau (“NB”) in 2022
  • With his name echoing “咪制” in Chinese and his signature cross-armed “No Drugs” pose, Mighty Cat stands as a firm, engaging reminder: “Drugs? Never, ever!”
  • Inspired by a domestic cat, he spreads anti-drug messages throughout the community with his friendly and relatable persona
  • Origin story:
Shortly after the establishment of NB in 1954, lions were unfairly exploited as a brand logo for heroin tied to drug harm in Hong Kong. Hoping to destigmatise this image, a new figure from the feline family was born—Mighty Cat

Sneaky Rat
“Bad Friend Forever”
