T HKI promotes anti-drink driving during World Cup

Road Safety Team of T HKI held ‘Road Safety Poster Design Competition cum Student Road Safety Campaign’ on 2018-07-07 at Leighton Hill Community Hall, to honour the winners and participants, who worked as a team to innovatively deign those meaningful posters, thus to promote road safety message among students.

The competition was organized by Road Safety Team T HKI in March, aiming at the students transiting from primary to secondary stages, to raise their awareness on road safety.

There were nine participating schools with 88 artworks produced, which were judged by Mr. LI Hoi-wai, Chairman of Hong Kong Green Fresh Painting and Calligraphy Association, in deciding the winners. Led by Mr. NG Lok-chun, Jim, Senior Superintendent, Traffic Hong Kong Island, together with Mr. TANG Wai-yau, Deputy Commander of the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (Hong Kong Island and Islands), Mr. LEE Hoi-wai, Mr. MOK Pui-chiu, Principal of S.K.H. St. Matthew’s Primary School and Mr. LEUNG Hin-pang, Vice Principal of Precious Blood Primary School (South Horizons), the prizes were well presented to the winners.

Mr. NG Lok-chun, Jim, Senior Superintendent, Traffic Hong Kong Island made a speech during the event to educate student pedestrians with road safety message, whilst requesting them to deliver the important message to their family and peers, to put “Love Yourself, Love Your Family, Be a Smart Pedestrian” in practice.

The event was well supported by schools, teachers, students and parents. All artworks were displayed in the event to the public, with four schools volunteered to give performances. Some performances were conveyed with road safety message, which could be spread extensively to the members of the public, making Hong Kong a place with emphasis on road safety.
