As the TBHQ road safety publicity theme in August 2021 was “Cycling Safety”, a press conference and publicity activity was held at Fo Yin Road, NTN by TBHQ and T NTN to elaborate the latest trend and causes of cycling accidents to the press and promote cycling safety to the public. Moreover, road safety bus also visited Yuen Wo Road, NTS and Hung Hom Pier, KW to promulgate cycling safety during the epidemic period with a view to enhancing the cycling safety awareness of the public, thereby reducing accidents.
Besides distribution of souvenirs and anti-epidemic articles, the newly designed road safety bus also interacted with the public. The electronic interactive games on the bus enhanced the public’s understanding of traffic enforcement. Moreover, the cycling safety competency test, namely “Traffic Bear Challenge – Cycling Safety” was launched on the same day. Members of the public might test their knowledge of cycling safety and traffic rules by scanning the QR code to enter the platform.
