For the purpose of strengthening the road safety awareness of students at the beginning of a new school year, TBHQ arranged「Student Pedestrian Safety」as the road safety publicity theme of September 2022. Officers of the Road Safety Unit visited an international kindergarten in Mong Kok with Traffic Bear, the mascot of TBHQ, on 14 September 2022 to share road safety tips and distribute the new student pedestrian safety gift packs to the students and teachers.

Superintendent WONG Ping-ping of Traffic Branch Headquarters, introduced the four pedestrian facilities, including footbridge, zebra crossing, subway and pedestrian traffic light to the students and played the road safety board game designed by TBHQ with the students, with a view to teaching them the correct way of crossing the road during daily travels, and enhancing their awareness on attentiveness, patience and law-abidingness.

The new student pedestrian safety gift packs prepared by TBHQ will be distributed to other kindergartens by the Road Safety Teams of various Traffic Regions to disseminate student pedestrian road safety message.
