The RSC 49th Anniversary Mr. Safegg Road Safety Carnival organised by Road Safety Council was successfully held on 13 November 2022 at the Grand Plaza of the Hong Kong Science Park.
The opening ceremony was officiated by the Director of Operations of the HKPF, Mr Johnson CHAN; the Chairperson of the RSRC and Deputy Commissioner for Transport (Planning and Technical Services), Mr Tony YAU; and the CSP TRAFFIC of the HKPF, Mr Yau Siu-kei, Crusade.
At the opening ceremony, awards of the Mr. Safegg Skin Design Competition were presented to the winners, and nearly 100 outstanding artworks of the competition were displayed at the Grand Plaza. In addition, a mini road safety town was set up to promote the attitude of “Stay Alert, Stay Alive” to children through simulation of driving. There were also a series of game booths under the theme of Mr. Safegg, including virtual reality games and creative workshops to disseminate road safety messages to the public in a lively manner.
