In the first four months of this year, 13 pedestrians died in traffic accidents, 11 of whom were aged 65 or above.

In view of this, the Police Traffic Branch Headquarters, together with the Road Safety Council, Eastern District Aldrich Bay Care Team and Legislative Council members, visited the Aldrich Bay Community Hall on May 12, 2025, to interact with 250 elderly people and promote road safety. They also distributed road safety goodies bags to the elderly to show their care and blessings.

Traffic Bear reminded the elderly to look around and listen carefully when crossing the roads, make good use of the "Four Essentials for Pedestrians", and always remember to be attentive, patient and law-abiding with a view to protecting precious lives and reducing traffic accidents.
