To instill road safety awareness in the younger generation in a more interactive and fun way, the Road Safety Council specially developed a new augmented reality (AR) game — " Mr. Safegg Augmented Reality (AR) Game ".
The game combines immersive storytelling and level design. Players need to scan AR patterns on the ground through tablets on a large physical chessboard to trigger interactive scenarios and complete road safety tasks in augmented reality. In two trial events, participants found the game both fun and enlightening and they could learn the correct methods of crossing the roads safely and understand common road risks in a relaxed atmosphere. Feedback was consistently positive.
