Building on the fruitful outcomes of the inaugural International Ethics Governance Roundtable hosted by the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) in Hong Kong in November 2025, the HKPF has continued to promote international exchange and institutionalised collaboration in ethics governance. On March 4, the HKPF attended the second round of International Ethics Governance Roundtable, organised by INTERPOL in Singapore, marking the evolution of the Roundtable from an advocacy platform into a regularised, strategic and sustainable cooperation framework.
The meeting brought together representatives from INTERPOL’s Office of Internal Oversight, the Singapore Police Force and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong. Building on the consensus established at the inaugural meeting, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on leveraging smart policing to advance ethics governance, as well as utilising technology to enhance integrity monitoring, early warning system and management effectiveness. Delegates shared institutional frameworks, practical experience and innovative initiatives, and further exchanged and refined best practices. Building upon the achievements of the inaugural Roundtable, the second round of Roundtable further deepened exchanges and demonstrated the shared commitment of international law enforcement agencies to strengthening accountability, enhancing transparency and leveraging technology to refine integrity oversight mechanisms.
