Good suggestion!: CPB "Fax" Facts-sheets

THE Crime Prevention Bureau has produced a series of "facts-sheets".

These information forms provide crime prevention information and advice on 13 subjects ranging form personal security to factory security.

The sheets will be faxed manually to members of the public requiring information. However, CPB is hoping to install a "Call Fax" system. This is a similar system to those used by tele-banking services. Members of the public can follow simple instructions over the telephone and receive the "fact-sheet" required 24 hours a day through their fax machine.

CPB developed the idea of sending crime prevention messages by fax because of the high cost of printing and mailing out leaflets.

Subsequently, Henry Chiang, SIP ALO CPB, had the idea of purchasing a "Call Fax" system for the Bureau. For this he received a Gold Award and $500 from the Police Staff Suggestions Scheme.

"Facts-sheets" can be obtained by phoning the Crime Prevention Bureau Hotline: 2721-2486.
