Rolled out in 1997, the Living-the-Values (LTV) workshops have been continuously reviewed and refined to enhance Force members' commitment to meet the public's rising expectations with quality services. The workshop is considered as one of the most effective means to align officers' personal values with Force Values and to reinforce Force Values at all levels.

Service Quality Wing (SQW) has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 compliance certificate for the "Design, Development and Preparation of the Living-the-Values Workshops" since March 2005. Recently, the certificate has been renewed for three years after an audit conducted by the Systems and Services Certification (SGS) Hong Kong Ltd.

In February this year, the SGS conducted a re-certification audit on SQW and concluded that the quality management system for the design and development of the LTV workshops has conformed to all the required international audit standards in achieving the organisational objectives.  SQW successfully passed the re-certification audit, with the ISO 9001:2008 compliance certificate renewed until March 2017, once again demonstrating the Force's continued commitment to strive for excellence in promoting and reinforcing the Force Values at all levels.

The theme of the eighth "Wave" of the LTV workshop is "Professional Responsibility and Accountability' and the workshops for Superintendents and Superintendent facilitators concluded in March and April respectively. The workshops for the Inspectorate will be held between May and August, to be followed by those for Junior Police Officers and Auxiliary Police Officers later this year.

The relevant materials of LTV Wave VIII have been uploaded onto the POINT.
