NTN
In a bid to make young people more aware of youth and technology crimes, the Regional Crime Prevention Office New Territories North (RCPO NTN) joined forces with Police Community Relation Officers this summer in mounting a series of publicity on streets and seminars in primary and secondary schools as well as youth centres under Project "Skyrunner".

At the seminars in schools and youth centres, episodes of Police Magazine were screened and fliers and souvenirs were distributed, sending the message of steering clear of crimes and drugs to young people.
TMDIST
With the support of Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee (DFCC), Tuen Mun District Police Community Relations Office (PCRO TMDIST) joined forces with its strategic partners in staging a road show at Tuen Mun Town Plaza on July 15 and 16 to promote prevention of technology crimes. The partners were RCPO NTN, the Office of Service-Learning of Lingnan University, Tuen Mun District Junior Police Call (JPC) and Senior Police Call (SPC).

The road show sought to keep the public vigilant against technology crimes, including  "Naked Chats" blackmail cases, E-auction scams, email scams and sexual offences arising from chalking up friendship via the Internets.

During the road show, TMDIST Commander Iain McNicol led DFCC members, representatives from the Office of Service-Learning, TM JPC and SPC members in distributing educational leaflets to shoppers and shop owners at the town plaza.

To reinforce the messages, an announcement of public interest on "Naked Chats" blackmail cases jointly produced by PCRO TMDIST and the Office of Service-Learning, was broadcast at the town plaza and Tuen Mun Government Offices.
