KCDIST
 
Kowloon City District (KCDIST) hosted a gathering on February 7 for 150 Senior Police Call (SPC) members. Joining the elders at the function were District Commander Raymond Siu and members of Kowloon City District Council and Area Committee. 
 
The SPC members also showed their flair for Chinese calligraphy in a Fight Crime Couplet Writing Competition. Before the competition started, a professional calligrapher taught the elders the skills for a good couplet.The gathering concluded with Mr Siu presenting awards to the winners.
 
MKDIST
 
Officers from Mong Kok District Police Community Relations Office (MKDIST PCRO) escorted 180 SPC members in touring the historical Cheung Chau Police Station and the Junior Police Call Clubhouse on January 15. The officers in the station briefed the elders on the history of the old police building and their jobs on the island, and introduced the small patrol car being used exclusively by the station. Visits to the Hong Kong Jockey Club Drug Info Centre and Police Museum were also arranged for SPC members in the past two months.
 
MKDIST recruits 56 new members for the SPC scheme at an elderly centre after giving two recruitment talks on January 23 and February 6. Two anti-deception seminars were also arranged on January 28 and February 4, in which PCRO officers updated the elders on measures to prevent deception and other crimes.
 
SMPDIST
 
Sau Mau Ping District (SMPDIST) held a ceremony at Sau Mau Ping Shopping Centre on January 24 to commend "SPC Evergreen & Young Fight Crime Ambassadors" for their contributions.
 
Officiating at the ceremony before over 200 SPC members were Acting SMPDIST Commander Cheung Shun-ho, Chairman of the "SPC - SMPDIST Evergreen & Young" project, Mr Lin Man, Chairman of Kwun Tong District Fight Crime Committe (DFCC), Mr Chow Yiu-ming, and Chairman of Kowloon City DFCC, Mr Siu Chor-kee.
 
SMPDIST established the "Evergreen & Young" project in 2012 with a view to engaging the community by organising activities with elderly service organisations to drive home anti-crime and road safety messages.
 
WDIST
 
Jointly organised by Sheung Wan and Sai Ying Pun Area Committee, Central and Western District Council and Central and Western District Office, the Community Cultural Fun Day was held at Sheung Wan Cultural Square on January 25 for the local community. The programme consisted of a variety of cultural performances, game booths, and display of handcraft. Western District (WDIST) SPC members also pitched in at the event by setting up a game booth on crime fighting to raise awareness of crime prevention.
 
TWDIST
 
Nineteen SPC members from Tsuen Wan District (TWDIST), wearing a smart uniform, attended a passing-out parade at the Police College on January 24, not only gaining an eye-opening experience, but also meeting Commissioner Tsang Wai-hung to share some ideas on crime prevention.
 
The attendance at the parade was just one of a variety of activities TWDIST has organised after launching a "Silver Falcon" project under the SPC Scheme in Tsuen Wan in 2012. So far TWDIST has recruited 80 project members and organised 54 activities.
 
KTDIST
 
On January 16, 120 Kwun Tong SPC members visited the Police Museum and attended a Winter Precaution Anti-crime Seminar later that day, where they were updated on the prevailing crime trends and offered tips on stepping up home security.
