The Used Clothing Collection Campaign 2015, one of the social responsibility initiatives of the Force and a joint venture with the Salvation Army, has collected 127 230 kilograms of clothing and used items from 23 collection points.

A Handing-over cum Recognition Ceremony was held at Police Headquarters on March 10, with Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Tang Ping-keung and Envoy Simon Wong, Community Relations Director of the Salvation Army, officiating.

Thanking the participating units for their contributions to the collection campaign, Mr Tang called on them to continue to support the annual campaign. He stressed that the campaign aims at, on one hand, promoting environmental protection and, on the other hand, extending care to the under-privileged.

As a token of their gratitude, Envoy Wong presented souvenirs to the representatives from the participating units for their contributions to the collection campaign.
