More than 300 tertiary institution undergraduates took part in the briefings held by the Recruitment Division (RECDIV) on the Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) and the Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme (AUS) on October 29, November 8 and 19 with a view to learning more about police work.

PMP mentors and mentees as well as Police Constables (Auxiliary) graduated from the AUS were invited to share with the undergraduates their experience gained from the programmes. Some of the undergraduates showed an interest in joining PMP or AUS, and submitted applications on the spot.

The PMP and AUS 2017/2018 are now open for enrolment. Should your relatives or friends be interested in joining the programmes, they may submit an application to the Students Affairs Offices of their respective institution. The application forms are available at http://www.police.gov.hk/ppp_en/15_recruit/news_161011.html.

On the other hand, the RECDIV held recruitment talks for over 1 900 local and Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) students in 14 secondary schools in September and October. Pakistani Police Constable Hussain Naveed shared with them on how he brushed up his Chinese language for the Force selection exercise. The talks had not only enabled the students to get to know more about the challenges the Force is facing, but also inspired their interest in joining the Force.
