The Used Clothing Collection Campaign 2016, one of the social responsibility initiatives of the Force, has collected 122 390 kilograms (kg) of clothing and used items for the Salvation Army.

Officiating at a Hand-over cum Recognition Ceremony at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) on March 16 were Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Siu Chak-yee and Officer Commanding the Hong Kong and Macao Command of the Salvation Army Lieut-Colonel Ian Swan.

Mr Siu thanked the police units for their contribution to the campaign, and called on them to continue supporting the annual collection campaign to extend care to the under-privileged and promote environmental protection. As a token of their gratitude, Mr Swan and Business Administrator of the Salvation Army Mr Alex Wong presented souvenirs to representatives of the participating units.
