A group of Junior Police Call (JPC) members attended the Environmental Protection and Technology Five Days Exchange Trip in Osaka, Japan from July 27 to 31 under the leadership of Chairperson of Mong Kok District JPC Honorary President Council Ms Au Chor-kwan as well as JPC Honorary Presidents Mr Yip Wah, Ms Chan Hang and Mr John Chong.


The group visited the City Resource Recycling Center to get to know the processes of waste sorting and recycling; the showroom of an electronics company to learn about cutting-edge technology; and Osaka City Amino Disaster Prevention Center to gain an understanding of disaster response measures.


On the last day of the trip, Deputy Commander of Mong Kok District (MKDIST) Lee Chung-wah led the JPC members to visit the Police Command Centre of the Osaka Prefectural Police Headquarters to learn about their work.


The journey enhanced the JPC members' environmental awareness, disaster response skills and knowledge of innovative technology. It also widened their horizons of police work in different jurisdictions.
