The Road Safety Team of Traffic New Territories North (T NTN) held a seminar for professional drivers and indoor staff of a multi-national courier delivery services company in Yuen Long on August 25 to disseminate road safety messages.

The officers highlighted a number of contributing factors of traffic accidents, the importance of attentive driving and safe cycling, and the proper use of road crossing facilities. Leaflets were distributed to remind the participants to be smart and responsible road users to avoid posing danger to other road users.

On the other hand, officers of the Road Safety Team met with Assistant Commissioner for the New Territories Command of Hong Kong St John Ambulance Brigade Ms Leung Yuk-wan and her team members on August 10 with a view to enhancing publicity and first aid services to cyclists.

Both sides decided to select Nam Sang Wai in Yuen Long as a trial spot to strengthen the dissemination of safe cycling tips to cyclists and offer first aid services on Sundays and public holidays between October and December. They will also distribute leaflets and souvenirs to the cyclists to raise their awareness on safe cycling.
