Commandant of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force (HKAPF) Yang Joe-tsi hosted a curry lunch for some senior management officials of Hang Seng Bank Limited on May 4 at the HKAPF Headquarters.

Speaking at the lunch gathering, Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive of Hang Seng Bank Ms Louisa Cheang appreciated auxiliary members' efforts to serve the community in their spare time. She said the bank fully supports the HKAPF and will endeavour to increase her colleagues' understanding of the work of the Auxiliary Police.

Also attending the gathering, Director of Operations Tang Ping-keung said the Auxiliary Police play a very important role in supporting regular police officers. He thanked Hang Seng Bank for granting a five-day paid leave to its staff members to attend the HKAPF's Annual Continuation Training, thereby providing support for the members' participation in community services.

On behalf of the HKAPF, Mr Yang expressed his gratitude to Hang Seng Bank and Ms Cheang for their support. He said while auxiliary members who come from different walks of life serve the community in their spare time, they also apply what they have learned from the HKAPF in their principal employment, achieving a win-win situation.

Other guests from the bank were Head of Communications and Corporate Sustainability Mr Walter Cheung, Head of Human Resources Ms Elaine Wang and Head of Security Risk Mr David Poon. Mr Poon is also a Senior Superintendent (Auxiliary). Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner (Support) Lam Hiu-tong, Chief Superintendent of Support Branch Bradley Wright, Senior Superintendent of Auxiliary Support Bureau Mark Anstiss, and two auxiliary members working in the bank, also attended the gathering.

Hang Seng Bank and the HKAPF Headquarters will jointly run recruitment talks to attract more bank employees to join the Auxiliary Police.
