Director of Hong Kong Police College (D HKPC) Lau Chi-wai delivered a talk on "Transforming Learning & Development through Disruptive Technology" at the Training & Development Asia Conference 2018 on July 5, on the invitation of Human Resources magazine.

Over 150 senior Human Resources (HR) leaders from the public and private sectors in Hong Kong, including HKPC officers, attended the event. The theme of the conference for this year was "Developing and Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders". The conference is organised annually with the aim of exploring the best practices in training and development, analysing the latest trends and technologies and sharing insights with HR professionals.

Ms Lau shared with the attendees the Force's experience and strategies in enhancing learning and development (L&D), and how various technologies have been adopted to upgrade the overall capacity of officers and to nurture a new generation of talents. The magazine personnel were impressed with Ms Lau's presentation and further interviewed her on the same day to learn more about the L&D trend and the Force's training and development strategies.

The Human Resources magazine is one of the most widely recognised brands in the HR sector in Asia. The conference provided an opportunity for the Force and other professionals to exchange their experience in nurturing talents.
