The Administration Wing (Admin Wing) invited the Government Records Services (GRS) to conduct a train-the-trainer workshop on records management on June 29, together with Chief Inspector of Force Data and Access Information Co-ordinator of Support Wing Tsang Ka-kiu.

The participants included about 50 disciplined and civilian officers, mostly Inspectorate Officers and Executive Officers who were responsible for records management or designated as Formation Data Administrators and Access to Information Officers. The workshop aimed to equip these supervisors with the necessary knowledge to coach their subordinates in records management and in handling access for information and personal data.

Senior Executive Officer (Records Management) of GRS Mr Wong Yan-kwong not only shared his knowledge and skills in records management, but also explained the mandatory requirements and good practices in this field. Meanwhile, Tsang Ka-kiu gave a talk on access to information and personal data privacy, followed by case studies.

A similar workshop was held on April 27. To meet training needs, more train-the-trainer workshops on these subjects will be held in the coming months.
