Legislative Councillor Mr Or Chong-shing, Kwun Tong District Councillor Mr Kan Ming-tung, Chairman of Kowloon East Chaoren Association Mr Yang Yu-cheng and a representative of an industrial company, Ms Tsang, presented pennants and appreciation certificates to Crime and Uniform Branch officers of Kwun Tong District (KTDIST) on June 15 in recognition of their professionalism in crowd management and investigation of two crime cases. Receiving the commendation were Deputy Commander Tai Hung-kin, Assistant Commander (Operations) Ip Ka-yee and representatives of District Investigation Team (DIT), Task Force Sub-Unit (TFSU) and Patrol Sub-Units (PSUs).

In February, the Chaoren Association held a New Year celebration, which attracted a higher turnout than expected. The PSUs swiftly performed crowd management duties to maintain order of the event. In April, a banner of Mr Kan's office was vandalised. DIT and TFSU conducted a joint investigation and arrested a male suspect the following day. Last November, a burglary case occurred in Kwun Tong industrial area and some photographic equipment was stolen. After in-depth investigation, TFSU arrested the culprit within a short time.
