Twenty-three Fight Crime Ambassadors cum winners of the "Hang Seng Bank - Help the Police Fight Youth Crime Competition 2018", led by Senior Superintendent of the Police Public Relations Branch Yu Hoi-kwan, travelled to Sydney and Melbourne for an exchange programme from August 22 to 29.

During their visit to Sydney, the delegation called on the Forensic Evidence and Technical Services Command of the New South Wales Police Force and a police station of the Australian Federal Police at Sydney Airport. They toured the facilities, including a detention centre and police vehicles, and watched a police dog demonstration.

In Melbourne, the delegates called on the Victoria Police Academy to learn about its training facilities for recruits. They also attended sports and training activities in Police & Community Youth Clubs and exchanged views with local young people.

The delegation visited various scenic spots, including SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, Sydney Fish Market, Sydney Opera House and St Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne, to explore the Australian culture.

The trip had broadened the horizons of the Fight Crime Ambassadors and increased their understanding of the local Police's efforts in fighting crime. Furthermore, they helped to publicise the strategies and achievement of the Hong Kong Police in maintaining law and order, and demonstrated their own vitality, leadership skills and a strong desire to learn.
