The Police Athletics Championship 2019 was held at Wai Chai Sports Ground on April 24. All athletes tried their utmost to achieve the best results. Commissioner Lo Wai-chung and a number of senior officers officiated at the prize presentation ceremony.


In celebration of the 175th anniversary of the Hong Kong Police Force, all Formations were invited to send five officers of different ranks to join a 5x100 metres relay race for the 175A Championship. After keen competition, the Police College won the championship while Hong Kong Island Regional Headquarters and Police Tactical Unit Headquarters secured the first and second runners-up respectively.


For team events, New Territories North Regional Headquarters and the Police College captured the championship in the respective categories of Other Formations/Units and Specialist/Training Units.


For individual events, Police Constables (PCs) Chau Hau-yin and Ho Siu-tung of the Police College came first in men's open and women's overall categories respectively whilst PC Cheng Hok-sum of Airport District was crowned the winner in the senior and master category.


In a bid to engage the community, the Police Athletics Club (PAC) invited members of Project LEGACY, Project ACHIEVE and Police Mentorship Programme to partner with Force members to compete in three 4x100 metres relay races for the second consecutive year. Both the Force members and student members enjoyed the races.


Last but not least, the PAC intrdouced a trophy for the Best Photographer in the event and the award went to PC Sung Ka-shing of the Personnel Wing. For more photographs and the results of the game, please visit PAC's website http://www.hkpac.com/.
