A pet cat and a Shiba Inu playing a game of chess, with three other furry friends watching from the sidelines? The Social Media Communication Section of the Police Public Relations Branch (PPRB) recently produced a short film titled “Who will Prevail in this Battle of Wits?”, to promote the importance of animal protection. Within one week after it was uploaded onto the Force’s social media platforms, the video already attracted 470 000 views, successfully raising public awareness of the importance of protecting animal rights.

Senior Inspector of PPRB Lo Kin-yin said, “This is the first time the Force filmed with ‘animal actors’. The biggest challenge was to guide the animals to ‘act’ according to the script. We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the owners of all the animal actors, as the video would not have been such a success if it were not for their full support and assistance.”

The owner of the two protagonists “Miso” and “Migo” is none other than Chief Inspector Hung, Officer-in-Charge of the Airport Security Unit. She said “I am very honoured to have taken part in the filming. The team took the production very seriously, and the subject matter is also very meaningful. I wished to do my part for the cause of animal protection.”

The Force will continue to spare no effort in safeguarding animals and protecting lives. Please visit the following links to watch the video and the behind-the-scene footage:
