The Hong Kong Police College (HKPC) and the Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre (LSCM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 16 which marked a milestone for another three years of collaboration. The MoU aims to provide a framework for cooperation to enhance partnership and facilitate the exchange of technical experience between HKPC and local technological institutions to jointly develop learning technologies. The MoU was signed by Director of HKPC Cheung Ching and the Chief Executive Officer of LSCM Mr Simon Wong.

HKPC and LSCM signed the first MoU in 2015. Thereafter, various learning technological projects were jointly developed, which included Radio Frequency Identification technology used in Disaster Victim Identification Training Programme, the use of three-dimensional simulation and virtual reality technology in the detective training system “Detective Boulevard”, and the use of the MESH Wi-Fi in HKPC’s Aberdeen Campus for Electronic Practical Assessment.

HKPC values the opportunities for cooperation and exchange with local and overseas technological institutions. The MoU not only strengthens the collaboration between HKPC and LSCM, it also signifies HKPC’s bonds with the technological innovation sector over the years and the Force’s commitment to embracing the use of technology for policing in the digital age.
