On December 11, 2021, Deputy Commissioner (Management) (DCP MAN) Kwok Yam-shu inspected a passing-out parade of 41 Recruit Police Constables (Auxiliary) as the Reviewing Officer at the headquarters of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force (HKAPF). The graduates came from various professions, including the aviation industry, the education sector and multi-national corporations, as well as students joining via the Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme. It was the first time for auxiliary officers to conduct the Chinese-style national flag raising ceremony at the HKAPF passing-out parade.

In his speech, DCP MAN praised auxiliary officers for their continuous support to regular officers. At the peak of the social unrest, law-abiding citizens suffered extreme fear and anxiety from rioters’ wanton attacks. During such times, auxiliary officers chose to face the dangers with exceptional courage and commitment, fully demonstrating the spirit of “Serving Hong Kong with Honour, Duty and Loyalty”. DCP MAN thanked the graduates for joining HKAPF when they were most needed in maintaining law and order as well as upholding national security.

DCP MAN also encouraged the graduates not to forget their aspirations for joining HKAPF and reminded them to be proud of their role as a police officer, a small role but with a profound impact. He hoped that the graduates could perform auxiliary police duties in their best endeavour to accomplish their mission.
