A training camp for Special Olympics Hong Kong (SOHK) and Junior Police Call (JPC) was held at the JPC@Pat Heung between December 23 and 24, 2021. A total of 24 SOHK athletes and 16 JPC members participated in the event.

JPC@Pat Heung had organised outreach training day camps for SOHK athletes in the past. This was the first time for the athletes to join a residential camp incorporating elements of integration with the participation of JPC members. During the camp, SOHK athletes and JPC members interacted with each other, identified life goals and established friendships through adventure activities, emerging sports, discipline training and camping experience. At the closing ceremony, a video of the highlights of the camp was played. Chairman of the Police Sports Council Lui Kam-ho was touched by the active participation of the trainees and was pleased to witness their growth. He also encouraged them to achieve their goals with perseverance.

JPC@Pat Heung was used as a temporary quarantine centre between March 2020 and November 2021. On December 1, 2021, some of the facilities of the centre were temporarily returned to the Force for organising youth activities. The staff made the best use of the available facilities and resources to organise adventure activities and training programmes to benefit the trainees. JPC@Pat Heung will continue to collaborate with different organisations to help trainees develop self-confidence and positive values through adventure training.
