JPC Permanent Activity Centre and Integrated Youth Training Camp (JPC@Pat Heung) held an exchange workshop on November 3. Supervisor Ms Lee Siu-chui and 20 social workers from the Youth Crime Prevention Centre (YCPC) of Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) were invited to enhance mutual communication and share the skills in youth engagement.


Superintendent of Public Relations Wing (PR Wing) Fong Ho-ying introduced the development and responsibilities of PR Wing and the Force’s youth engagement efforts, after which Ms Lee of HKFYG briefed on the structure and core duties of YCPC. Both parties started to exchange through various activities subsequently.


The staff of JPC@Pat Heung led an ice-breaking activity, followed by some educational games designed by HKFYG on being law-abiding. The social workers of HKFYG were then arranged to visit various facilities of JPC@Pat Heung and experience the fingerprint workshop, laser gun shooting, the escape room and the zipline. Finally, the staff of JPC@Pat Heung and social workers of HKFYG shared their experience in youth engagement and thoughts on the exchange day.


The exchange has achieved fruitful results. Officers from both parties have enhanced mutual understanding and explored different means of future collaboration for making more contribution to youth engagement.
