Superintendent of Recruitment Division (RECDIV) Chan Kit-fung led a 26-member delegation to Guangdong and Fujian Provinces again between May 16 and 26 to recruit Hong Kong students in the Mainland. The delegates included Police College instructors, Recruitment Spokespersons, and a police officer graduated from Huaqiao University. In addition to providing police recruitment information to students, RECDIV also arranged on-site selections and the newly added Recruit Police Constable Written Examination, allowing students to apply early for probationary inspector, police constable and auxiliary police officer positions. The delegation also recruited Hong Kong students in the Mainland for the Police Mentorship Program (Mainland) to connect those students who aspire to join the Force in future.

Moreover, to deepen the long-standing cooperation with Jinan University and Huaqiao University, Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Chan Man-tak went to Guangdong and Fujian Provinces on May 16 and 24 to sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of the Hong Kong Police Force with both universities, aiming to continue providing a platform for Hong Kong students at both universities to join the Force. In addition, Chan Kit-fung also signed a MoU with the Hong Kong Students’ Association of Canton on May 20 to collaborate in providing channels for Hong Kong students from other universities in Guangdong Province to join the Force. RECDIV has gained a better understanding of the employment prospects of Hong Kong students pursuing study in the Mainland, and will actively review and optimise the Force’s recruitment strategies.
