To join hands with community stakeholders in combating crime, Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) invited Chairman of Tuen Mun District Fight Crime Committee (TMDFCC) Mr Lau Ka-keung and TMDFCC members to visit Tuen Mun Police Station on May 22 for tour and exchange. Officers of Emergency Unit of New Territories North displayed their daily operational equipment to show the difficulties and challenges faced by frontline officers. Officers of the Police Dog Unit then made demonstration and briefed on their latest activities to indicate the Force’s determination in animal care. The officers also introduced the New Generation Report Room, Video Interview Room and Identification Parade Room for the members to understand the Force’s procedures and case investigation for enhancing transparency.


Assistant District Commander (Crime) of TMDIST Chong Shing-yat briefed the members on the latest crime trend and introduced the “Scameter+” app and the newly launched SafeCity.HK website. District Commander of TMDIST Ng Kwok-cheung presented TMDIST’s Action Plan 2023. The members raised their concerns about the local crime situation. Mr Lau thanked the effort made by the Force members on crime prevention and promised that TMDFCC would fully support the Force’s crime-fighting and anti-deception efforts.
