On September 16, the Information Systems Wing (ISW) held the “Smart Policing - Self-service Kiosk - Presentation Ceremony” to recognise the MTR Corporation Limited (MTRC) for its contribution in assisting the advancement of the Self-service Kiosk (SSK) initiative and promoting smart policing.


Since September 2023, the “Loss Report Express” function has been linked with MTRC’s Online Lost Property Platform through the “One-Stop Loss Reporting Service” of SSK in collaboration with MTRC. To date, over 1 800 lost property cases within MTR areas have been uploaded via SSK, and more than 330 individuals have recovered their lost properties. Also, the “Loss Report Express” service was upgraded last month with the crucial technical support and cooperation of MTRC staff members.


Deputy Commissioner (Management) Chan Joon-sun indicated in the speech during the ceremony that MTRC is a key strategic partner of the Force. ISW collaborated with MTRC for SSK starting with Admiralty MTR Station. This initiative has achieved remarkable success. Over the past two years, SSK has been progressively extended to Diamond Hill and Lo Wu MTR Stations, with plans to further extending them to Tai Wai and Tseung Kwan O MTR Stations.


The Force sincerely appreciates MTRC’s unwavering support for various initiatives over the years. In the future, ISW will continue to lead smart policing innovations, creating a safer and more convenient smart city.
