Co-organise programme with DoJ
The Junior Police Officer Development Learning Division of the Police College (College) co-organised a Continuing Professional Development Programme on cybercrime, offences related to triad, and voyeurism offences with the Department of Justice (DoJ) on October 23.
The College invited Acting Senior Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions Mr Lee Ting-wai and Senior Public Prosecutor Ms Lai Jing-kei from DoJ as keynote speakers. The two speakers explained the legislation in an easy-to-understand manner, complemented with case studies and practical experience sharing which enlightened participants with insight on the legal elements, prosecution strategies and key enforcement points for various offences.
Co-organise programme with ISW
The College co-organised a programme on smart policing with the Information System Wing (ISW) on November 13 to help the instructors keep abreast of the latest digital policing solutions and knowledge on related science and technology applications.
Officers from the Major Systems Division, Digital Services Division, e-Police Division, and Next Generation Communication Systems Division were invited as guest speakers to deliver a talk on latest digital policing solutions covering iCasualty, iTHA, iPatrol, iLog, iSubmit, SMAP+ and iCarOB. Through briefings, demonstrations, and practical exercises, participants gained hands-on experience in the operation and effectiveness of various digital solutions in actual policing work.
