Sports Facilities Available in Police Training School

YOU should already recognise the importance of maintaining good health, controlling stress, and managing your money. Sports activities, among other physical exercises, lead to physical health and should be encouraged. To this end, the Force has provided a number of sports and recreational facilities for our use.

Apart from the sports facilities available in the Police Officers' Club and the Police Sports and Recreations Club such as swimming pool, football pitches and bowling centres, sports facilities at the Police Training School are also opened for our use.

They are:
a) two fully equipped gymnasia which include badminton courts
b) a grass cricket pitch located in the north-east corner of the school
c) a grass football field located at the north-west corner of the school
d) on the secondary drill square, a properly marked out foot ball pitch
e) a marked out basketball pitch under the drill shed
f) three tennis courts adjacent to 'J' Block.

All members of the Force are welcome to make use of these facilities with prior bookings. Individuals may contact the Chief Physical Training Instructor (CPTI) or his staff during office hours for bookings: 2814-4299; Fax : 2814-1783.

Bookings should be made at least seven days, but not more than 28 days, in advance. When using the facilities:

a) You are required to report to the Duty Officer on arrival at PTS to get a booking slip prior to using the facilities
b) Keep the booking slip when using the facilities and remember to return it to the Duty Officer before you leave
c) On weekdays you may draw necessary sports equipment from the Physical Training Instructor on duty. If you intend to borrow equipment for use at weekends or on public holidays, you may draw them in advance.

Located in a less polluted, quiet and scenic area, the Police Training School is an excellent place for playing sports.
