THE Commissioner of Police Eddie Hui Ki-on recently visited the new Police Quarters in Chai Wan to see for himself the high standards in quality of accommodation for junior married officers.

Accompanied by DCP (Management) Tsang Yam-pui and DPT Tony Mullins, Mr Hui toured all eight flats on the 26th floor of Block Two as well as the club house.

The chief architect of the project briefed Mr Hui on the new design and layout of the flats which have been carefully planned to achieve the most efficient use of available space.

"Mr Hui was also briefed on new features that minimise nuisance caused by MTR trains," said Superintendent Quarters Cheung Kam-chuen. "He was impressed by the quality fittings and finishing work, as well as a variety of the building's facilities."
