Eastern service quality awards

Ten officers and six units in Eastern District were presented Customer Service Improvement Awards by Eastern District Commander Paul Hung Hak-wai for their recent outstanding performances.

Three prize presentation ceremonies were held July 7 and 10 at North Point, Shau Kei Wan and Chai Wan Police Stations.

The scheme, aimed at upgrading the performance of officers, improving their efficiency and effectiveness, promoting customer service awareness and team spirit, was introduced in the District early this year.

Awards under it would be presented on a half-yearly basis.

Officers' efficiency, politeness, communication skills and service quality are assessed and public feedback is considered.

Mr Hung said he hoped officers would be encouraged by the scheme which recognises their good work.
