The Henan Police College is the sole police academy in Henan Province. Comprising campuses in Zhengzhou, Kaifeng and Luoyang, the college has a total area of about 120 hectares. There are around 700 professors and staff members providing full-time courses on various types of police work for over 8,600 trainees.
The mobile training course in Henan was the 19th one of its nature jointly hosted by the Ministry of Public Security and the Force for Mainland public security officers. Speaking at the graduation ceremony on May 24, Mr Ma encouraged the trainees to assimilate the principles of "theory, discussion and practice" and apply the tactics they had learned for self-protection and law enforcement.
Mr Ma also thanked the Henan Provincial Public Security Department for supporting the Mobile Training Team in conducting tactics training and expressed appreciation for the dedication and perseverance the trainees showed during their training.
The Force delegation also had liaison meetings with the Henan Provincial Public Security Department, the public security bureaux of Jiaozuo City, Luoyang City and Xuchang City, as well as the Henan Police College. The meetings covered many general policing issues, including crime prevention and detection.
The delegation also took the opportunity to visit police stations, command and control centres and a local community in Zhengzhou known as "Arcadia" to take a close look at community policing.
