Basketball: HKP take on the US Navy

THE BOYS from Hong Kong Marine Outer Water District took on US navies from the USS Belleau Wood destroyer in a game that will go down in Force history as the one that slipped away - by a measley point.

The USS Belleau Wood team, who do nothing but practice making hoops while at sea, were visibly shaken by HKP Marine's mastery of their home court, dribble techniques and slam dunk ability. With face at stake, they all breathed a heavy sigh of relief when the fourth quarter whistle blew ending the exciting game 81 to 80 in their favour.
