Runners of 68 teams from different formations joined the Henry Shield Relay Race 2018 held by the Police Athletics Club (PAC) at the Aberdeen Country Park on October 9. Director of Operations Tang Ping-keung was invited to present trophies to the winners.


Apart from the free-combination "Challenge 160" category, the category of men's events had been increased to seven, covering all Regions as well as Special/Training Units. Trophies were presented to the first two teams in each category. More trophies/medals were presented to the ladies' category, with the first five teams being awarded.


The Police Tactical Unit Headquarters clinched the championship as well as the first runner-up award for Special/Training Units, and emerged as the Overall Fastest Team. The Police College won the championship of the ladies' category. The titles of the Men's Fastest Leg Senior, Master and Open went to Sergeant (SGT) Ng Cheuk-yin, Police Constable (PC) Cheng Hok-sum and SGT Tsim Hoi-kin respectively. PC Ng Chui-wa won the title of Ladies' Fastest Leg. PAC Chairman Mr Mak Chin-ho thanked all volunteers for their support for the race.


On the other hand, PAC will organise a long-distance running course from late November to February. All regular and auxiliary police officers as well as civilian staff are welcome to attend. Details will be announced in due course.
