To promote smart policing, the Police Quartering Division has been developing the first Interactive Voice Response System in the Force since 2025. The system was officially launched on March 2, providing more convenient services to over 40 000 police officers and their families, as well as enhancing the operational efficiency of the Quartering Division.
The system provides 24-hour automated enquiry service. The voice recordings were made by a serving officer with professional advice from police clinical psychologists incorporated to ensure that the messages are clear, friendly and easy to understand.
The system adopts a clear tiered menu structure. Enquiries can be transferred to Quartering Division staff during office hours for complicated or special cases. Quartering Division will continuously monitor the system operation, analyse call data, and collect user feedback to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the system continuously.
