Hundreds of Hong Kong Police officers and their families enjoyed the HKI Regional/PHQ Police Families' Day held at the Police Training School grounds on the beautiful and sunny day of 22 November. As these photos attest, there was plenty to do, although at times it was difficult to tell who was enjoying themselves most - the adults or their children.

The 1997 Hong Kong Island Regional Ball will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the JW Marriott Hotel during the evening of Friday 19 December. The Acting Commissioner of Police Wong Tsan-kwong will be the guest of honour.
Cocktails begin at 7pm after which dinner is served at 8:30. Music will be provided by the Tony Carpio Dance Band, with Danny Diaz as guest singer.
Dress guidelines are Mess Kit/ dinner jacket/ lounge suit.
Tickets are $700 and represent very good value for money. This low price has been made possible by negotiations with the JW Marriott and a subsidy from the sale of raffle tickets - which are priced at $10 each and are available from Formation representatives.
Prizes include a pair of Rolex wrist watches, a package tour from Capital Asia Ltd, one deluxe dinner coupon from Forum Restaurant (valued at $45,000), and Jewellery from Tse Sui Luen Jewellery International Ltd.
