SSP Noel Howcroft, HKI Traffic officers and guests open the Region's Road Safety Promotion Day

Two open-top floats cruised from North Point to Shau Kei Wan as part of the Hong Kong Island Traffic Road Safety Promotion Day, March 18.

The event was held with the Hong Kong and Islands Region Road Safety Patrol, seeing publicity leaflets and souvenirs distributed to residents at Aberdeen Centre, Hennessy Centre and the junction of Shau Kei Wan Main Street East and Kam Wah Street. Onlookers were also treated to numerous performances and quiz games.

HKI Traffic Senior Superintendent Noel Howcroft, Assistant Commissioner for Transport Alan Lui Sung-yee, and Patrol Regional Commander Cheung Tak-chung, officiated at the opening ceremony.

  • Some 400 staff and their relatives attended the New Territories South Traffic Family Day at the NTS Operational Base on March 24.

    NTS Regional Commander Mike Dowie, his Deputy Tang Kam-moon and NTS Traffic Senior Superintendent Peter Bacon officiated at the event, which saw a Police Dog Unit demonstration, a lion dance, karaoke and band performances, a lucky draw, games and other competitions.

    The New Territories South Traffic Family Day also gets underway
